A daily return
to a place
you love.
We’re not really in the business of soap. Each bar is a daily conduit back to a specific stretch of the natural world — the coast, a dark-sky night, the height of summer — experienced in the one ritual nobody skips.

People protect what they value, and value what they know. Making the natural world known — vividly, specifically, honestly — is the whole of the work.
Three studies,
three bars.
The coast, a dark-sky night, the height of summer. Each bar is a study of one subject and the specific things that belong to it.
Kalaloch
Sand quarried by the waves, seawater, and Sequim lavender — grown in the Olympic rain shadow.
Read the study →New Moon
Star anise shining through a darkness of activated carbon — literally star dust, the basis of all known life.
Read the study →Shine
Calendula petals and turmeric root — a full season of sun, captured at its peak and held in a bar.
Read the study →And, once in a while, an exploratory study.
Alongside the three, we sometimes release a Limited edition — a small batch tied to a wild harvest or a brief season, each with its own name and story. Sometimes there’s one running; sometimes a few at once.
The ingredients are the story — and the story is true.
Cold process, small batch
Made by hand in the traditional way, in batches small enough to get right. Time, not machinery, does the work.
Organic & wild-harvested
100% organic or wild-harvested ingredients. What we don’t grow or gather, we buy from producers who share our values — local when we can.
A story in every box
Each box carries a short piece of writing about its subject and how to go and find it yourself — so the bar is a beginning, not the end of a thought. More →
